Our Board
As a California non-profit corporation, Community Interface Services is governed by a seven member volunteer Board of Directors.
Dr. Rose Mueller-Hanson, Presidient

Rose works as a Senior Research Scientist at the Personnel Decisions Research Institute. She earned an Master’s Degree and a Ph.D in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Colorado State University, and has served on the Board since 2003. As a family member of an individual with a developmental disability, Rose views serving on the Board as an “opportunity to give back to an organization that has given so much to my family. I have been honored to be associated with Community Interface Services for the past 13 years as both an employee and a Board member and am extremely proud to support the incredible work done by this organization.”
Otis P. Heald, Vice-President

Otis works in the field of land development and property management. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from San Diego State University. Otis is the grandparent of a child with a developmental disability. “I think Community Interface Services does a great job working with the consumers and I am glad to be a part of it.” Otis has served on the Board since 1990.
Rojane Lindkvist, Secretary/Treasurer

Rojane founded Community Interface Services in 1983 with a vision to provide quality and innovative services for people with developmental disabilities. Her background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development with an emphasis in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Administration from the University of San Francisco, and post-graduate work in Rehabilitation Administration at the San Diego State University Interwork Institute Leadership Forum. Rojane serves as the agency’s Executive Director and as a Member of the Community Interface Services Board of Directors.
Sharareh Mohebbi, Boardmember

Sharareh works as an accountant and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services and Business. A Boardmember since 2005, she is a former employee of Community Interface Services, and loved the purpose of the agency and working with staff and consumers. “What the agency does for society is the thing that motivates me the most. Seeing real people caring and giving to others; unique gifted people that go out of their way to help people in need.” Sharareh loves to travel and explore new things.
Ann Prater, Boardmember

Ann has served on the Board from 1989 - 1991, and again since 2001. She graduated from Humboldt State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, and later earned a Master's in Education with an emphasis on "Leadership and Advancement" from California State University at Chico where she now works as the College of Humanities and Fine Arts Advancement Director. “Community Interface Services has a consistent legacy for high-quality services to the underserved population of developmentally disabled children and adults. I feel privileged to be a part of a team that does such good for the people it serves.”
Elizabeth Miles, Boardmember

Liz Miles is an administrative analyst for the County of San Diego, Adult and Older Adult Mental Health Services. Prior to her employment with the County, she was employed by Community Interface Services as a supported living coordinator for three years and the three years prior to that was a director for Public Safety Training Association’s Welfare to Work training program. She has vast experience in social services working with individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses and with developmental disabilities. Liz received a Master of Public Health Degree in Health Service Administration and a Master of Social Work Degree from San Diego State University. “As a former employee of CIS, I was proud of the way we made a difference in the lives of the individuals we provided services for. I’m honored to continue my involvement with individuals so passionate and compassionate for the community they serve.”
