Community Interface Services Supported Employment (SE) services include job placement and coaching at the individual’s worksite. SE job coaches encourage the development of relationships within the workplace by supporting individuals and educating employers and coworkers. The ultimate goal of integrated work is the gradual fading of agency staff from the work environment so that supervision responsibilities are assumed by the employer. This service is funded through the California Department of Rehabilitation and San Diego Regional Center. The SE program is accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
The Individual Placement service provides one-to-one placement and coaching. The philosophy is to teach job skills that promote independence and self-reliance. Therefore, job coach support decreases as the individual becomes more comfortable and more skilled at his/her individual job. For additional information about these services please contact Sherry Davison at 760-729-3866
Group Placements consist of a group of three to eight individuals hired by the same employer. Group Placements are paid employment and include the ongoing support of a job coach at all times. For additional information about these services please contact Sherry Davison at 760-729-3866.
