Community Interface Services offers a variety of vocational services designed to promote employment and volunteer opportunities in the community. Staff assist individuals in attempting to find the type of work they would enjoy, restructure existing jobs, and negotiate job descriptions to match one's strengths and abilities. Those that are just graduating from high school and looking to transition into employment may find our services very beneficial.
In an effort to improve job effectiveness for the individuals we serve, our staff can assist with obtaining/creating assistive technology devices, and advocate for reasonable accommodations on the job. In addition, our services may include other relevant training and skill development in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to: self-advocacy, personal health and hygiene, social skills, occupational and community safety, communication, mobility training, and task completion.
The agency's vocational services are: Community Integration Training (CIT), serving small groups, and Supported Employment-Individual and Group Placements.
